For every path breaking progress made, there are countless hours of research behind it. Similarly, in our bid to empower India by eliminating as many social issues as possible, we at CDSR also have our own research team who are constantly working their grey cells to find solutions to the various problems that plague our society.

Presently the research team is directing its efforts towards developmental studies with an aim to relieve the nation of many growing concerns such as child labor, gender equality, and youth education among many others. Three years ago, under the guidance of the research team, CDSR held a national level seminar on the highly unique topic “Tribes in India: Challenges and Their Role in Changing Environment”. The seminar was an unprecedented attempt to shift the limelight to the extremely marginalized and neglected indigenous tribes of India and to try and understand the challenges they face in following their primitive culture in the modern world. The aim of the seminar was to initiate research on how to arrive at suitable policies and strategies to best ensure the continued survival and well-being of the tribal communities. This is an example of just one of the research team’s initiatives in their quest for a brighter tomorrow for the nation.

The pillars of the present research team are:

Dr. Meenal Shah

Boasting of a scholastic achievement of Master in Philosophy in Economics , Specialized in Mathematical economics, Ph.D in Economics and MBA in Human Resource, Core research intrest areas are gender issues, educaton, labour market. This outlines the need and importance of integrating history and culture into our research and Rajendra is the man for that. His areas of expertise include History, Art and Culture.

Miss Poonam

For an NGO to work efficiently, it has to understand Government Policies and base its strategies around said policies. This is handled by Miss Poonam whose areas of expertise include Public Administration and Tribes of India, about whom the seminar was organized.

Anjali Vyas

One of the major targets of most volunteer organizations is education or rather the lack of it. We at CDSR too identify it as a major problem in our country and it is one of our core initiatives to eradicate illiteracy. In the research team, Anjali whose areas of expertise are Education and Hindi is responsible for all research on illiteracy and education.

Rajni Sharma

The world has lost many jewels because they did not shine bright enough. Language and communication has plagued many victims and it is one of our core principles to help those who suffer from it overcome this problem. With Language and Communication as the areas of expertise, Rajni is the person responsible for this within the research team.

It is well known that the journey of a researcher is often over tortuous roads, hence very few have the courage to undertake it. Our research team is always open to new and fresh minds who believe they have the drive and energy required to bring about a positive change in society. We invite interested scholars to be a part of our team on an honorary basis and contribute whatever possible towards our fight for a better India.

“If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it? – Albert Einstein” Fire, electricity, heliocentricity, pathogens; life as we know it would not be possible without them and yet had it not been for a few men poring over their notebooks and dreaming up new ideas or knocking stones against each
